Many Internet sides, tests and studies make the rest of the world sure that Denmark is the happiest country in the world. That is a pretty big thing to take on the country. I personally think it’s pretty cool. But also a responsibility we need to keep, everything else would be embarrassing.
Denmark has a constitutional monarchy, and the political system is based on the constitution from 1849. The Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, is head of Government. Queen Margrethe is head of State with ceremonial duties. She is unable to carry out political tasks. The country is divided between the three powers, the Executive power, which lies with the Government, the legislative power which is vested in the Parliament and the judicial power, which lies with the courts.
Denmark might not be the country you travel to if you want some tan. But it is the country you travel to if you want to get some fantastic adventures. We have many small islands you can travel to. One of them is Bornholm. Bornholm is also called Solskinsøen (The Sunshine Island) because of it’s weather and Klippeøen (The Rock Island) because of its geology. You could also go try our amusement parks. We have the oldest and second oldest amusement parks in the world, they are called Bakken and Tivoli. You can also visit Legoland. Legoland is a park, the park is all about Lego (Lego was made by a Dane), and who doesn’t love Lego?
