23-year old Seung-Hui Cho shoots himself after he at Virginia Polytechnic Institute killed 32 people and wounded another 17. 27 students were killed, and five faculty members. Seung-Hui was born in South Korea in 1984 and became a US. Resident in 1992. Cho was majoring in English as a senior, at Virginia Tech.

The attack

The massacre started at 7.15 am on one of the University colleges, a few hours later he attacked the actual University where most of the murders happened. He was armed with 9-millimeter, a 22-caliber and a lot of rounds of ammunition. He dropped a package for NBC News off at the post office and then walked to Norris Hall carrying a backpack containing several chains, locks, a hammer, a knife, two handguns and nearly 400 rounds of ammunition.

The Aftermath of the shooting:

There wasn’t found any evidence that Cho had specially targeted any of his victims. Everybody soon learned was described by his classmates, as a “loner who rarely spoke to anyone” – as written in History.com’s article about this shooting. What also was revealed was that Cho had made angry, violent writings for centain class assignments. Among his former professors raised concern because of the Writings.
