What a nice day, right?’’ Debbie asks. ‘’it’s okay, I guess’’ Robert said.
We were in New York and my mother kept asking all these questions about everything between heaven and earth. She was quite annoying. Anyways, we were on our way to Central Park to eat our lunch. I didn’t really want to go but my mother forced me.
I knew it was going to be fun, but I just wasn't in the mood.
We went to the park and it was quite fun actually. It was nice to hang out with my family again. We talked for hours without any awkward situations where no one talked.
We used to have some problems, my family and I. My mom and dad went through an awful divorce. They fought a lot, without even noticing. It was hard for us to hear them argue at night. It was a rough time, especially for my brother, Robert. We took to New York City, to start over. To get a fresh start. To get away from the busy everyday life and to get a break from our dad. He was upset when we left. He was so offended that he threatened to kill himself. I wasn't frightened. He said it every time we did something he didn't like.
