Skribentens beskrivelse af A comparative analysis

En analyse af "The Tay bridge disaster"

Uddrag fra opgaven

A comparative analysis The poems, The Tay Bridge Disaster by William Topaz McGonagall and This Be The Verse by Philip Larkin has but one thing in common – both writers are from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And here the comparison ends in every way imaginable, because while McGonagall has the ill flattering honour of being called the worst poet ever in British history. Larkin's poetry has been characterized as a conventional and colloquial style of poetry. But then again, maybe somewhere within the vowels and syllables we can find some common ground in their writing.
