The pictures in the camera looked like the older couple from down his street. But why was their stuff here? And why weren't they? Conspiracy theories started to be put together in his mind. So many damn questions and no answers, Chris started to run up and down the beach. Meaby they were at the beach, so Chris ran up and down for some time until he had to give up. They were definitely not here, now. So Chris started to show the pictures to people asking if they had seen them today or knew anything? Most people just said they had no idea what he was talking about, other said they didn't wanna get involved in his business with losing his grandparents or something. Chris was getting a bit worried now since no 1 would seem to have seen them today at the beach and he couldn't find them there. So Chris ran home luckily he was only living 20 minutes from the beach. He started to run home when the thought hit him hard. He was already late for work! This would not be good for him, he started to slow down thinking that the old couple were probably okay, anyway just sitting at home drinking tea or doing old people stuff. Chris was just about to turn around but then he felt guilty... What if something bad had happened and he just let it slide through his fingers because he was scared of losing his work? He had to keep going, so he picked up the pace and started to run fast again. Faster and faster, The more he ran the more theories there came to be in his head. What if they were kidnapped? Or what if they had been dragged out by the water. NO! Chris could not think like that what are the chances of something like that happening? Who would kidnap them? and the water on the beach wasn't that powerful. Chris could now see his own street so he gave every last bit he had in himself and ran past his house past all the neighbours past all the confused people on the sidewalk, Chris was the old couples house and started to feel better he saw there was light in the windows but all the curtains where for so he couldn't see in the house from the street. Chris stood directly out from their house now, wishing with all of his heart that they were sitting in the kitchen or living room. Just somewhere in the house. He started to slowly walk up against their door. Chris was halfway up at the door when an elderly woman opened the door. Chris was so relieved "Hi Chris, What are you doing here?" Chris walked up to the woman gave her the bag with all their stuff in turned around and started to walk away without a word "Thank you, Chris! We must have lost it yesterday when we were at the beach" Chris felt stupid of course nothing had happened to them What should have happened? Of cour.... The BUS! His Job! FUCK! He was so late! Chris started to run again in hopes of getting to his job in time. He got to his job and his heart was all the way up in his throat he sat down and started to work. No one had seemed to have seen that he had been missing? Chris smiled to himself. All in all, it had been an okay day.
