Be prepared for the best time of your life. My name is Dave and I have been on an exchange trip with my school. I went to the southerly part of Africa, the newest member of the BRICS countries, the so-called “Rainbow nation” and the native country of the famous Nelson Mandela. You have probably guessed it by now, the country called South Africa.
Some of the lads and I choose the South Africa trip, and I do not regret it. I lived with a little family in Johannesburg. The mother [NAVN C], the father [NAVN A] and the four-year-old son [NAVN B]. I was placed on a college, a bit outside of Johannesburg. My family were very religious, so we went to church every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. When [NAVN A] told me that I should dress up for church the first time, I thought it would be the most terrible time of my life. But I was wrong. It was very educational and exciting to feel how other cultures see the way of life, and how they get through the everyday life. The most important advice when you are cultivating new cultures is openness. Openness can also be the most challenging part, but the most important part.
