South Africa, the country at the bottom of Africa, prized for its natural beauty, historic past, and cultural and ethnic diversity, which has made the country what it is today. Though this all sounds wonderful, the journey to this point has not been easy.

One of the things that stood as a complete and hard obstacle for the South African nation was apartheid. The relationship between the two ethnic groups was non-existent. Violence was at an all-time high, and the country slowly progressed into being an extreme disaster. The white people undermined the blacks, and they stood in complete control. They did not even see the black people as real humans, more like animals. And they showed this with the way they treated the black. The black ethnic group went through immense violence.

This regime carried on, but as time passed, the black people began to realize their fate. They could see that this was a never-ending stream of violence, that slowly would worsen over time. Besides that, they were also losing their jobs and getting even poorer. The white people were now using them as cheap labour. These conditions forced them to live in the townships, where conditions were very harsh, and poverty struck the hardest. People were starving, and the future was not bright. Because of this some South Africans began to rebel against the regime. They protested to spread out their views about a South Africa with equal rights and a great harmony between the two ethnic groups.
