Marilyn Monroe was an American film actress who also goes by the name of “Norma Jean Baker”. Her name was Norma Jean Baker until got rejected by the studio for a not so interesting name. Marilyn Monroe had a rough childhood where her mom just wasn’t there to take care of her and she did not know her dad. So her grandmother took care of her until she died. When her grandmother died, she was put in a children's home. She was a brave kid and she was close to getting adopted, but her mom did not sign the paper, so she stayed in the children's home. One day she got put in a foster family, they took care of her until she could stand on her own legs, or almost. Her foster family married her away to her husband. His name was Jim Dougherty, he worked for the American Army. They were only together for a few months until he joined the army. While he was out with the army, Marilyn was used as a pinup girl for the army, and her husband saw her pictures and broke up. Marilyn has always been scared of being alone, it started probably in her bad childhood. Marilyn started her career by being a pinup girl for women's magazines, and now and then she was at auditions in the studio. She got a job at the studio after having sex with the boss. She featured in 30 films, where “Gentlemen prefer blonds” was one of the most popular films, she featured in. While being a Hollywood star, she was one of the most iconic sex symbols of the 1950s to the 1960s. She had an affair with John F. Kennedy, the president of USA at that time, she also met up at his birthday to sing "Happy Birthday, Mr. President". All Marilyn Monroe’s relationships have ended up with a breakup and no kids. Marilyn has taken drugs from an early age to get happy. She has always been afraid of being alone, and pills helped her to be happy, that ends up causing her death on 5. August 1962, at 36 years old.
