Born in Los Angeles, California (June 1 1926 – August 5 1962) she was 36 years old when she died.

Her real name was Norma Jeane Mortenson.

Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, singer, film producer and model. She was one of the Hollywood’s biggest movie stars in the period 1950-60.

Her life histories were marked by illness, personal problems, and a reputation for being unreliable and difficult to work with. Lived her life with an unknown father, crazy mother and strict foster parents, love, marriage, divorce, new love, new marriage, loneliness and to the end a bad death.

The first time she was married was with the neighbor boy Jim Dougherty. She was sixteen years old. Second time it was with Joe DiMaggio, who was a famous baseball player. Third time she married, was it with Arthur Miller there was a famous Jewish-American playwright.

She also had an affair with U.S president, John F. Kennedy. And the Kennedy family had possibly something with her death. All of her marriages ended in divorce, and had no children.

In the years and decades following her death, Monroe has often been cited as a pop and cultural icon. In February 1953, Marilyn was named the “The Most Advertised Girl in the world” by the advertising Association of the West. And in 1947 she was crowned Miss California Artichoke Queen. In 1956 she was nominated for the British Academy Award for “best Actress. In 1999, Marilyn was voted the sexiest Women of the Century by People Magazine.
