I wake up to the harsh beeping of my alarm clock. It is indicating that it has just turned half past six in the morning. I turn it off “RING RING” “RING RING”. My phone rings away. Oh, fuck what is the time? I look at the alarm clock. How could I let this happen? Before the biggest interview of my life! I stand up, face the door of my bedroom wearing nothing but my undies and march towards the phone, hanging on the wall. I try to clear my head for a second, but the sound of my loud ringing phone keeps interrupting me. I take a deep breath and pick up. “Hello this is Lewis Samuel”. I say. “Where the bloody hell are you Lew”? It is Frank on the other end. He is the one that got me todays interview for the best law agency in town. He is also going to be there at my interview, which is in half an hour. “I am going towards you as we speak. My biggest apologies my friend, there is a massive traffic jam this side of London” I hang up and think to myself, how should I handle this situation? I would do well to try and keep calm, gather my things quickly and leave. I look back to my bedside table, at my alarm clock, only to remember that the interview starts in 20 minutes. I sprint to my closet and grab my cleanest suit, I throw it on in an instant and then slap a tie on. I run downstairs, put my cigarettes, my wallet and my keys in my suit pockets. Then I grab my coat and my newly made sleek black leather briefcase with my initials on it. Then I run out of my front door, slamming it behind me and hop in my trash car. I frantically drive towards the center of London. I see the building where my interview is being held. I park my car illegally and get out. Only to see Frank standing there waiting for me. He says: “I am sorry my friend, you were too late, and they gave the position to someone else”. I fucked up, that job was my last chance. I cross the street and just lie down. I light a cigarette and see a bus drive by.
