There's different opinions whether or not the US need gun control. Gun control is a controversial topic in America today and have been for a while. Some Americans believe that there should be more rules in place making it harder for Americans to get a hold of guns, while other Americans believe, that it’s ridiculous and you can’t defend yourself at all.
In my opinion I think that gun control in the US will reduce crimes and lead to fewer suicides. It has come to the point that some students in the schools have to go through metal detectors and get a backpack check to make sure they don't have guns or anything dangerous because of all the school shootings. which is very sad. Also many people die each day because they get shot by a gun or even shoot themselves with a gun. And guns are rarely used in self-defense.
