Why did I choose this subject?
I chose this subject, because I find other religions and ways of living very interesting. I like getting new information and learning about other cultures and religions. I also chose this subject, because I had heard of the Amish before, and I wanted to learn more about it.
The Amish technology
The Amish only use technology, that keeps them away from being affected by the modern world f.x. solar panels, cell phones and laundry-machines, but they don’t use technology, that makes life too easy, f.x. cars, that makes the mobility much easier, instead they use carriages. They think, that they lose the ability to learn the value of hard work. They are best known for what we’d call their old-fashioned way of living. The Amish thinks that the technology and the modern world makes them slaves. People from the outside world even join the Amish to get away from the modern world stress.
