Today it is September 11, 2001. I was walking home from school when I suddenly heard a big loud sound two blocks away from where I was standing. I looked up and saw a big black cloud of smoke. When I saw that cloud of smoke I ran as fast as I could to see were all the smoke came from. But suddenly the only thing that I could see was dust and papers flying around me, and people that were very hurt. I quickly ran over to a woman to ask what happened, but I didn't get an answer. The only thing the woman said to me, was that her husband was in the building and we needed to save him. Soon after the firefighters came and quickly ran into the burning building to try to stop the fire. After I had watched the firefighters rush in the building, I ran over to an injured man trying to help him. He had some metal stuck in his arm and an open wound on his leg. Right as I was putting a bandage on his leg, another big explosion of some sort happened right above me. Right, when I heard the explosion my ears were ringing so loud that I couldn’t think or do anything. I just remember laying on the ground and feeling how terrified I was. After the ringing in my ears was gone I said to the guy that we had to get out of here. So, I helped him up and we limped to some other people a far away from the towers. When I was running back to help other people. The first tower collapsed. I just stud there and looked at the tower slowly falling down and then hearing a big loud sound coming from that direction. That was when I realized that the twin towers got attacked by terrorists. When I saw the tower collapse I turned around and walked further away from the twin towers. When I was right outside my front door I heard another big sound. I wanted to know what it was, so I started running up the stairs as fast as I could. I ran into my home and turned on the tv to see that the second tower had collapsed. I just cud dent believe my eyes. That day was a very sad day for thousands of people. For people who lost someone that day, and for people that just saw it on the tv. All the people who helped that day will always be remembered as heroes.
