It was the 20th of April 1999. My sister and I were standing in the doorway, which led us to the cafeteria. We were looking for a spot, but it was filled with the students of Columbine high school. We decided to go to the library. I looked at my new phone, it was a Nokia 282 and I was the only girl with a phone that new. The clock said 11:20 a.m. but it was 1 minute ahead as always.
I heard screams coming from the cafeteria, and when I turned around, I met the sight of horror in people's eyes. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold held two guns and had begun shooting students. My classmate Rachel lay in a puddle of blood. I ran as fast as possible to the library. A bookcase became my hiding spot. It was hard to remain silent when I couldn't stop crying.
