In 2019 I went to The United States of America as an exchange student, it was a very eventful and exciting trip. The best part about the trip was the prom, prom happens at the end of the year for the senior students to celebrate they are done with the they graduated high school. Its generally only senior students that can go but if a junior student gets invited by a senior they can also go. Each prom has a different theme.
When I went to prom I went with the person I lived with I America whose name is John, I went with him and his friends. The theme of the prom the great Gatsby, which is a novel and a movie that’s about a man who holds very nice and expensive parties. The tickets cost 75 dollars each and it started at 5pm where my friends and I arrived in a limo. When we got in to the venue which was a restaurant. we got taken pictures of by a photographer. At the prom we got snacks and drinks and there was no alcohol there was a DJ playing music. We danced a lot and it was very fun, I also met a lot of new people. The snacks and drinks where also very good, we got cake, macarons and lots of other stuff. The prom ended at 11pm, and we didn’t go home but We went to one of my friends house where we stayed the rest of the night. We had a lot of fun there, we were about 20 people and we had a great time. Then when the time was about 2am me and John thought about going home but we decided to stay the night. We woke up again at 11am the next morning and went home.
