The immigrated Muslims need to adopt some of the costumes in their new country. Otherwise, they will have a problem fitting in.

As a non-practising Muslim, Parvez is living in England, immigrated from Pakistan. He drinks alcohol, he gambles, he eats pork and he doesn’t pray. A bad experience with a Moulvi when he was young, has made Parvez avoid all religions. When he immigrated to England, he learned their costums and ways to behave in a attemp to fit in. He has become a atheist.

His son Ali on the other hand, has become a practising Muslim. He parted from his girlfriend and threw most of his belongings out, because he wanted to live simple like they do in many Muslim countries. He quit university where he studied accountancy, because he thinks that education cultivates an anti-religious attitude. And accontancy is a work where you meet women, drink alcohol and practise usury. Now he is working in a prison, trying to make better persons out of the muslims there.

Tariq Ramadan is a journalist. His focus is Islam in Europe. He thinks that Islam and the non-Islamic world, is learning to live together and respect each others differencies. But there is still a long way to go untill everybody can live side by side in harmony. Many Muslims are seeing racism and discrimination everywhere, but this should not be taken as a attack to their religion. The non-Muslim citizens needs to accept that Europe has changed. The future is mutual understanding and respect.
