How did it start - KFC was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders, an entrepreneur who began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky during the Great Depression. Sanders identified the potential of the restaurant franchising concept, and the first "Kentucky Fried Chicken" franchise opened in Utah in 1952.
What type of food did they made? They started only with just fried chicken, salads, fries and soda.

What was the idea - The idea was that the food was prepared before the customers came to the store. So they ordered and then they got the order in few minutes and that was what sparked kfc into mainstream in the early 1950’s
