Main topic: Teenager Problems Topic: Alcohol abuse Why did i choose this topic? I choose this topic because i’ve been starting to drink on a nealy weekly basis. So it interests me a lot. This topic will also give me an understanding of what the consequences are to get drunk. And then i thought it was quite easy to find stuff about this topic, because there have been written so many articles about it. Why does young people drink alcohol? The main reason why many young people drink alcohol is because of the social thats within it. It's a nice way to get out of the bed and see each other. Just meet up in a local place or at someones house and drink is super fun and nice. And then u also have a reason why to meet up. The second reason is because of the effect alcohol has. U get a little indifferent and then there are some funny fluctuations. An example could be that u do not have so much control over yourself/ you can't stand on both feets sometimes. And it's very funny to young people to try something new such as being drunk. And then the last reason is that some young people like the taste. For me i like a lot of alcohol. Beers, ice, somersby, some shots and so on. It just taste very nice in my opinion. What is the problems? The main reason why alcohol is a problem is because it affects the way your brain develops. When your under 25 the alcohol can affect your brain. But under the age of 15 you brain is at particularly risks. Teenagers brains are still under developing, and the parts of the brain that undergo the most dramatic changes are the frontal lobe and hippocampus. And these parts of your brain are associated with motivation, addiction and impulse control. In alcohol there is a “material” called neurotoxin, which can poison your brain. One of its effects is that it can interferes with vitamin b. Which prevents the brain from working normally. Then if u drink a lot more and drink more often can the symptoms include learning and memory problems. The second reason why alcohol is a problem is because that people who are drunk do not that think that well. So they can have unsafe sex without even carrying, and they can drunk drive and so on. So the effect that drinking gives younger people is a big problem as well. How can the problems be solved? I do not think drinking in younger ages can be stopped. Because many younger people are very curious. But I think as a parent you can give your child limits of how much they can drink and how often. I also have limits of standard drinks, but they have been increased over the months. I think that's a very good way to start out safe with drinking. Then i also think that the media's has a big role. A lot of young people starts to drink because they see others do it. They see it on Tv, facebook, instagram and so on. So maybe if we could turn down the spreading of alcohol, young people would may start drink when they are a bit older.
