Responsibility: Alcohol and Environment

You can often say:” drink responsibly” but what does “responsibly” mean? In Denmark it’s legal to drink so much that you can kill yourself, and you can do, when you are over 16 years old. Is that responsibly? I don’t think so, and neither should any, if you ask me. I’m not trying to be a “party killer” I’m just saying that it’s shouldn’t be allowed to drink this much, when you are so young. But alcohol isn’t just a problem for “kids” or what you would call a 16-year-old girl or boy. It’s also a problem if crown ups drink too much, or for some grownups. Often when people fight alcohol is involved.

But there are many ways to drink responsibly. Let’s say that I just finished my cola, and I can’t see a trashcan, then it would be very irresponsible to just throw it out in the wild. Unfortunately, there are many people who do these things. It damages our earth, and our nature is getting uglier.

We must become better at taking care of our land, right only for our own sake, but also for future generations. There are many changes already now. But is it too late to save our world? Many researchers have said yes. And if it is true, it is our job as humans, it is to extend the life of the earth. A good place to start is just to take care of our nature. In Denmark, we have a mortgage system on all cans should ensure that the cans will be delivered to stores.
