En skreven opgave om de vigtigste punkter og analyse af dokumentaren "The Truth About Alcohol"

The documentary “The truth about alcohol” is from 2016 and made in Britain (London) by David Briggs. It’s informing and testing myths about alcohol with the narrator “Javid Abdelmoneim” as one of the test subjects.

The documentary is mostly classic, but is also a bit personal. From the classic perspective it intends to inform and teach, has a clear purpose, points out a problem and suggests possible solutions, an omniscient narrator and includes interviews. And from the personal perspective it’s a bit personal for the narrator, because he is a test person in the documentary - during multiple of the tests. The film wants to inform, discuss, explore and confirm. They are discussing and exploring myths about alcohol, which informs the viewers.

In my opinion you can’t say, there’s a major part in the movie - but if you want some facts and science related hearing, it is obviously the scenes with interviews with the experts. And if you want to hear the solving of some myths, that is the most important. It’s not built on any traditional structured composition. They are making tests in their publab, speaking with scientists, testing myths and much more. So there isn’t a red thread through the documentary and there are none flashbacks or flashforwards. Javid isn’t the “main character”, but he is the one we follow and see the most. Here I will list up the things, which got tested plus the results: 13 million britains drink more than the alcohol limit per week - also Javid - the alcohol limit is right now on 14 units per week. Javid was on 26-28 units - even though he only drank 3 out of 7 days.
