Today’s assignment:
1) Read the pdf ’Happy Endings text’
2) Make written notes for the following questions:
a) Try to give each story a fitting headline
b) How is Atwood criticizing society and middle-class ideals by use of flat/stereotypical characters in Happy Endings?
c) How does the language shift between story A and B?from everything is good and they are happy comes to a girl being used for her body when the man is out with other girls and ends up committing suicide
d) What stereotypes are found in the characters in A,B and C?

e) Discuss whether you liked the story/stories or not and why/why not?
Most of the texts didn’t really capture our attention but text B somehow managed to pique our interest because we get sympathy for Mary.
