He often hits her. She doesn’t do anything because she’s afraid about what he might do to he. They’re watching the news witch is following the paths of a riot. The riot approaches their apartment building and starts robbing a supermarket witch are on the lower level of the apartment. John goes down to make them discontinue but ends up getting beaten. Laura then goes down to the street finding john on the ground badly wounded. John then asks for her help. A man participating in the riot walks by and refuses to help John but blinks at Laura. She then asks the protester if he isn’t afraid of getting caught. He then answers that he isn’t because he has been invisible all his life. This encourages Laura.
