On my first day as a high-school exchange student in Arizona, my host family treated me to an extra-special American breakfast. As I ate, my host mom gave me some final pieces of good advice on how to behave and what to be aware of in my life as a new American student. After that my host dad and I sat down to find a leisure activity, after some time we found an ad about football and we signed me up, so from now on I have to play football twice a week, Monday and Thursday.
for the rest of the day we just relaxed and got to know each other better, we played a lot of board games and talked about my expectations for the next 6 months, around 10 pm we went to bed.
My first day!!
I got up around 6am and had breakfast, after getting ready I had to take the bus to my school. the trip takes about 30 minutes. It was really strange to sit in the bus and look around and think about going to school with some of those who were there. it was also the first time I felt really lonely, I also had that feeling when I got to the school, there were some sweet students who asked where I should be and they showed me the way to my classroom. most of the day we spent getting to know each other and talking about how we hope it will be going to class together, we also got seats and I sit next to a boy named James and he is really fun and we are good together. after school took me, James and some others down to a center that is close to our school where we bought some food and just talked, I found out that James and some of the other boys from the class also go to football where I has started. They asked if they shouldn't just come by and pick me up before training so I don't have to take the bus. At 6:30 pm, James and the other boys came and picked me up, around two hours later the training was over and it was really good.
