Arriving at my host family One thing she kept repeating was that I had to be myself and be openminded, if I wanted to experience a great time in Arizona. That was not too big of a deal to me, I am an openminded person by nature, and I am ready to meet a lot of new people and experience the American culture. Besides that, she told me some basic rules, and a couple of things Americans find impolite.
The weather Sunday morning was steaming hot, I had an exciting day in front of me, actually an exciting new chapter in life. My host mom showed me the house in- and outside and I got my room. The day passed quickly, and it was time to get some sleep before a big day tomorrow; first day at high-school.
First day of high-school I must say, I did not get the most sleep last night, I could not get rid of all the toughts about how this trip would turn out. Although I was tired to death, I woke up with a big smile on my face. This was what I had been dreaming about for so long, and now it was happening.
