Over the past few years of my life, clothing and fashion have been sort of a side hobby of mine. I like going clothes shopping, trying on clothes and finding clothing for a cheap price. But I feel like, these days, the youth categorizes others for the clothing they’re wearing way too often.
I would say, that just to dislike a person because of the price of their clothes is wrong and immoral. I find fashion fun and exciting but I think that it is important to remember that, at the end of the day it’s the inside of a person that really matters and not material goods.
Having style contra being stylish
I believe that a lot of people often mix up the two sayings. In my opinion, being stylish is to always buy the trending- and designer clothing. But to have style is for people who are not dependent on wearing expensive designer clothing and trending accessories, but can find cheap clothing that, they can use to make good looking outfits for themselves. In other words, to have your own way of dressing, that makes you unique and express’ your style.
Fashion and Artists
It is my impression, that artists and fashion designers have a mutual inspiration for one another. An example from my generation is the many collaborations between famous music artists and big clothing brands such as Kanye West and Adidas, Pharrel Williams and Chanel, Travis Scott and Nike and a danish example Kesi and BLS Hafnia. But also throughout history, it has been seen how famous artists and trending fashion houses have benefitted one another.
