'Teen tourist' i Chicago: En rejse og refleksion

On my trip we were going to Chicago, I am from Denmark so is was a very long flight. I think it was about, eighteen hours but I survived =) I met Adrianna. At the Chicago airport, she was my guide through the whole trip. she was one of the kindest persons I’ve ever met in my life. she drove me to our hotel, we was sharing a big bedroom, but not the same bed. She woke me up very early, because we were not on vacation she said. We need to get out of bed and explore some attractions. first, we went to a basketball game, it was the team named Chicago bulls who played against the Detroit Pistons. it was such a big experience, and I want to go to a basketball game again. Then we went to something called complex con. It was the biggest sneaker event in the world, all my favorite sneakers brands and sneakers I haven’t even seen before but. Then she drove me to the hood, I was very uncomfortable there I saw people walking around carry weapons. And masked people she stopped at a corner and stepped out of the car and started talking to a guy who looked like a thug. Then she asked me to come out and say hey to the thug named Jerome, he was actually very kind, and he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He just wanted to make sure his family was save and I think that it was very inspiring, it made me wonder if we was taking everything for granted in Denmark. In the streets the only hope they have, is to join the gangs or become athletes or make music and that thought scared me. We went to a big shopping center and started shopping. The center was 14 floors high and we couldn’t even visit all stores, because there was so many stores. The benefits of having a tour guide is that, they may have some contacts that normal people usually don’t have. Like when she got a ticket to a basketball game, and the visit to Jerome’s neighborhood with. And then a week have passed, and now its time to go home. I think it was a good trip where I reflected over many things. I kept Adrianna*s number in my phone, because she was the sweetest girl, I’ve ever met. My family was at the airport waiting for me and that was my trip to Chicago
