Good evening everybody, I have been excited about tonight, for those who don’t know me, my name is [NAVN A] and I am a student here at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. I am here today to talk about the American dream and how it has changed over the last years, and maybe how you can reach your American dream.
The American dream was ones seen as these limitless opportunities and you could reach whatever you wanted in this world with hard work and dedication. But everything changes in this weird and new time, also the American Dream. Technology has evolved and changed the way we live, and the way we think we want to live. We all live in a technology world and with a lot of possibilities and it can be hard to know what you want to do with your life, so you can live your dream life. But one thing will never change, if you want something in life you have to work for it. It doesn’t matter if its fitness, work or something else, it doesn’t just come to you suddenly you to do the work that’s required to get anything in life.
It all started with a dream, a dream where you could obtain your full potential with hard work and dedication and that got many people to immigrate to America because they saw the land as the land with endless of opportunities. “And it turned America into a pot of cultures, religions, languages, races and ethnicities”. But People realised it was moribund and people started giving up on the American dream. Now less than 20% say they are living the American dream. Maybe it was because of all the immigrants or maybe be because of the racism that has been a big part of America in many years or maybe because of the different presidents there have been. Nobody knows. But as fast as the Dream can be forgotten as fast can, we all start living the American dream again. But then people have to stop just following the flow and do what everybody else does because you are never going to reach your full potential by just following the flow.
