USA's coronakrise: immigration og økonomi

The coronavirus has taking the world by storm and without any notice, the virus was forcing the world to shut down, but was that the right choice or could it have ended differently with a different approach? A popular response to that question is that self-care and America first. This belief is directly expressed by the Republicans. Though this belief is in some way logical and makes sense under a pandemic, it is also dangerous. The main problem with this is the economy. When you shout that a country it leaves the air travel, the restaurants, and the small business in great danger for shutting down. Which could cause many peoples jobs because of health concerns.

Poll finds that the majority of American citizens want to restrict immigration to the U.S during the coronavirus pandemic. However immigration is no longer a top concern for the election in November, but the coronavirus pandemic has made immigration an important topic especially when it comes to healthcare and unemployment. To close all immigration to the US would secure the spread of the coronavirus and secure the American’s jobs under the lockdown. As Donald Trump says under a press conference “We must first take care of the American worker, take care of the American worker” here Donald Trump uses amplification by repeating himself to clarify his opinion. On the other hand, some people that could end up losing everything because of the block of legal immigration. Legal immigrants that study in the US could be in danger of leaving because of the closed down schools This could also destroy the United States economy because these students are the future workers for the US and if they get kicked out it could harm the future generation.
