Immigration og den amerikanske drøm

A: EssayWe all see America as a state where dreams can end up being reality. In my opinion it is very important to have a relative diverse society, which is the case in the United states. Of course many people thinks it’s better just to have one common culture or nationality, but I think they are wrong. People from other countries brings new cultures, mentalities and a different way of thinking, which is healthy for every society round the world. Of course the immigrants have to contribute with things such as labor, because if they don’t contribute with anything, the original race may feel that the immigrants are a burden.There are millions of immigrants in the United states, and a reason for that may be that a lot of people see the United states as the heart of the world. At least I do. People know that the United states is the place to come if you want to make your dreams come true. It is only your imagination which sets the limits. You got all of the materials, opportunities and so on in the Unites states, so therefore it’s no surprise that there are so many immigrants.The downside of all of this is, that there are many of these immigrants who doesn’t contribute with anything. They just come to the United states because it is known for its high conditions of life, and the immigrated families wants to make sure that their kids get a safe and healthy future. Of course I can understand where some of the immigrated families are coming from, but the United states doesn’t suffer any good from this individualistic way of thinking. A fact that is very important to illustrate is that a lot of people immigrates to the United states illegally. The immigrants comes to the United states and chooses just to stay there because it is comfy. They just exceed their visa. This is a very big problem for the United states, because all of the illegal immigrants blocks the entrance, if you can put it like that, for others who wants to enter the United states legally. If a Dane for instance wants to move and start a new life in the USA, he may be rejected because some of the illegal immigrants kind of takes his place. Before the Arizona immigration law, the United states didn’t make a hard impact to prevent people from staying in the United states illegally. The case has now changed though. Since the Arizona immigration law, The United states are way more attentive on the problem with illegal immigrants. The Arizona immigration law makes it very hard for illegal immigrants to stay in the country, because the police can now pull everyone they think seems a little suspicious aside.The Arizona immigration law has some downsides too. One of the things is that the Mexican government are warning their citizens to use extreme cautions if visiting Arizona. Second they lose a lot of tourist. I guess the tourists doesn’t feel welcome in Arizona, and neither would I. I don’t know how much of a success it is to spend a holiday in a place where you constantly feel that someone is watching you. There are a lot of people who feels offended by the law, and I understand them. If for instance a Latino is on his way to work and gets pulled over it may be very frustrating, especially if you’re behind schedule already. The Latin-Americans are in fact some of the hardest working people in the United states. They can continue to work with no sleep required. Just because they are working so hard and doing their best to serve the country and to earn some money, I understand them being offended with being pulled over because of their appearance. But again; what should the government else do to stop the illegal immigrants? I don’t know. But one thing is for sure; it takes time to get rid of all the illegal immigrants and sometimes you have to get a little harsh. See, I’m a guy with a lot of opinions and meanings, but sometimes it is hard for me to make people hear my opinions and reach out to them, and that is the part I would be pleased with you helping me. Well, I’m from Mexico myself and therefore it is hurting me to see people with the same background and roots as myself, getting pulled aside like they are the bad guys. We are in fact some of the hardest working people in this country, and I don’t think we deserve this kind of treatment. It is such a shame that this is happening because for instance some of my family members won’t come to visit me no more. They want to kind of boycott the United states and it’s not meant to be like this. America is meant to be a country where there is space for everyone irrespective our appearance. Some of us are struggling so hard to get a shot of the American dream, but we feel that we are getting pulled down the ladder every time the police officers pulls us aside, just because of the color on our skin or hair.I was hoping that you could mention something about the situation we got, and make people aware of it trough your performances on the tour you are having ahead of you trough the United states.Gracias de antemano.
