Cargo is a short film directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke. The movie is about a family that is involved in a car accident. In the start we see a man wakes up and sees his wife has died, and she has turned into a zombie. He took his child and leaves the car. After some time, he realizes his wife has bitten him when he passed out. Then he makes a plan when he still was a human, so he could get to the safe zone, so he could safe his daughter, he took his daughter on his back, and finds a pink balloon because it symbolizes peace, so if someone sees them they could take care of his child. He gives her a sticker whispering mom, mom, it will say, he gives her the sticker, so she will know-how his mom looks like when she gets older. He binds his hands to a pole and binds meat on the other side so he doesn't eat his daughter because, so he could smell the meat instead of his daughter. The father wrote, 3 hours and his, and the route at his arm. At the ending of the short film we see, the father gets shot, and the framing is long-shot, and it is like that so we can reflect about, how he is going, like a zombie. A group of survivors who shot him takes a closer look to him when they almost leaving, they discover his daughter crying, and they find out her name is Rosie, because it was written on her stomach in permanent marker.
