When I first started to work at Camp Lakeside hoped to have a good month with exciting experiences fun and exciting adventures with the children. I thought It was going to be fun to see the children learn so much about themselves over that month I should stay at Camp Lakeside.
I wanted to give the children an experience they only get once in their life, would make it special for them I’ve always wanted to stay at a summer camp like this that is why I took this chance to get a summer job here I said to myself that I’m going to learn so much about myself and I did, when for example someone got hurt or scared a part of me that I have never seen before appeared some type of instinct, normally you just take care of yourself but now that I had a responsibility to take care of these children I was the person to help when they could not do It themselves that was a pretty big revelation I discovered.
I hoped to see a whole lot of children get smiles on their faces because of the activities we had arranged for them. Many of the kids jump right into the activities some of them that I even was a little scared to try out, all that us employees had worked to get the children to cross their limits, I just hope they are going to do that for the rest of their lives because one of the worst things is that you get too scared to try something when you get the opportunity and then you regret that you didn’t do it.
