My Experience with Youth Island Summer Camp

Hey I am a 16-year-old boy from Denmark I went to Youth island in 2019 Murran Island, situated off the Scottish coast, at first when we arrived we started to play hide and seek it was very funny I was a hider and I hid underneath a bush with now two of my best mates Max and Daniel Max is incredibly funny and Daniel is also funny not as much as Max but still very funny, he is both amazingly smart on his final exams he averages a grade of A both Daniel and Max where also 16 years old Max where from the Netherlands and Daniel where from Uganda it was very disturbing to hear about the culture in Uganda because he was one of the richer families in Uganda and they would be considered kind of Brooke here in Denmark the Netherlands reminds me very much of the Danish culture

The camp was like a typical summer camp with more activities and more culture I took part in the outdoor activity where we cooked over an open fire we cooked a pasta dish named DORT it was very nice and hyggeligt there where a student named Manuel from Brazil and he played guitar so we just cooked the pasta and sang songs together I also took part of the treasure hunt it was one of the funniest things I have tried the teachers placed the treasure in a little bush with a lot of branches on top of it I and Daniel were trying to find the treasure first and we did it took a little over 30 min for us to find it in the treasure there was a gift card to a holiday in Stockholm Sweden for 3 days I also tried yoga it was kind of boring but a nice experience we tried many positions the only nice thing about it was that I got lose in my body
