Juletraditioner i Danmark og England

I’m coming to visit for Christmas eve, and I’m excited to come.

I’m looking forward to seeing how you celebrate a Christmas in England, and if it’s different from what we do in Denmark. I’ve heard you open present in the morning, is that true? And if the whole family go to church? some people also do that in Denmark, its mostly old people though.

I would really like to know if you eat something else, and if you eat Christmas breakfast instead of Christmas dinner? And do you guys have a parade on Christmas eve, you know where a bunch of people dress up and walk on the street?

My favorite festive celebration is Christmas. In Denmark we eat something called “flæskesteg” it’s just pork with something crispy on top, mostly there is also duck. In Denmark we also dance around a Christmas tree and sing some songs. And I also want to know if you guys do that to. Most families go to a gathering, so all people in the family meet and have a “julefrokst”. Then you will eat and maybe play some fun games! And last, we all play “pakkeleg” where you roll a dice and if you land on 6 you can take a gift.
