A communistic society can be comfortable for a lot of people, and in this case animals. But how will the society become when the leader cheats to get more power and be in a better place, all though all the other animals think that they are equal? In animal farm, which is a book written by George Orwell from 1945, we are given a suggestion on how it will be.
Animal farm is a book, which tries to put focus on the worst sides of how it might be, to live in a communistic society, where the animals live in a conviction, that they are all equal.
Animal farm takes place on a farm in England, close to the Willingdon. At the beginning and again at the end the farm is called Major farm, but while most of the story unfolds the name of the farm is Animal farm. The farm is relatively large, and it contains a lot of land and buildings, where a lot of different animals lives together. It is not like the farms we know today, where most of them only contains one kind of animal. The whole story, except for some few events are centered on this farm, and because of that we do not get to know much about the farms surroundings, only that the farm has two neighbor farms, Foxwood, which is owned by Mr. Pilkington, and the second one Pinchfield, which is owned by Mr. Frederick. Animal farm itself is owned by Mr. Jones, who lives in the main house with his wife Mrs. Jones.
