Gun laws in the states. I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around knowing that almost everybody has some piece of equipment that can instantly end my life. Even though to have a gun you must have a permit, but that’s not always the case. A new law in Texas makes that you can have handguns without any training, or a permit. And if I don’t want to carry a gun, almost everybody does.

But even though you must have a permit, it’s not hard to get a hold of a gun illegally. You can tell by the gang related gun crimes. Almost everybody can walk around with a pistol or whatever they want without being arrested or anything because it’s legal. That’s just mad. It’s mad that I can, if I was suicidal, go into a park, or on the streets, and just starting to blast rounds into people, and killing them for the joy of it. And after that I would just commit suicide, painlessly. That just doesn’t fit right in my head. That any day a mentally ill person could end my life without any purpose. But not only in the streets, also in school. School shootings are nothing new to the US. But how can they be prevented? If it’s even possible. I think that by raising the taxes and, getting better security at schools is the best solution. To have some sort of security at schools, so not everybody could just walk in and do whatever they want to. I can’t see another solution than raising the taxes. It wouldn’t be possible to get rid of guns in the states in my opinion. It’s a part of the culture now. It can be given as a Christmas present now to almost any age. The population wouldn’t be happy about getting rid of the guns, and some wouldn’t even feel safe. I think that people feel secure that they can protect themselves. But that’s where the problem is. That they need a gun to protect themselves. That means that they must protect themselves against other guns. If guns weren’t a part of the society, people wouldn’t need it to feel safe. Like here in Denmark. We rely on the cops, and it’s going a lot better than in the states. We don’t have near as many gun crimes as in the US. (in percentages). It’s because you can’t get access to guns in Denmark as easily. So I think they should raise the taxes, so schools can get better security.
