Introduction
Working with American laws and legislations is hard because they are frequent changed. Therefore my section about the American gun law is based on rather old materiel and shall be taken as illegal. I take most of the legislations in my report to be legal.
I tried to contact the Whitehouse by e-mail to get present president Bush’s attitude towards the present gun law, without luck. All I got was an address to the America’s fund for Afghan children and an enclosed blank page where I could write a legislation and idea concerning the American gun law.
Therefore my section about the two president’s opinions is based on articles.
The present gun law
During my research on the present gun law I found out that the present gun law is two things. There is the Federal gun law and the local state gun laws. The gun law in America is like almost everything else in America. It’s divided in states. I have chosen to work with the local state gun law in New York because working with the federal gun law would take to much time. If the federal gun law has any interest, you can find it on http://www.nraila.org/media/misc/FederalFirearms.htm#toc.
