Unawareness of climate change, and the improvements we have accomplished.
Dear delegates, students and fellow global citizens. I am very grateful to be here today
When I hear about climate change, about why we shouldn´t eat meat, why travelling by plane is worse than driving and how plastic waste pollute our drinking water with micro plastic, and infinite production results in ice glaciers melting. activist and experts make it sound like the world is ending next month if we don’t act immediately, but the only time I may have experienced climate change is in the winter where snow doesn’t come as regularly as it used to, and that is not enough change for people to stop eating meat or stop using their car with a traditional combustion engine. I don’t blame them, they think of global warming as an event way out in the future, because they are never touched by it. That’s why we need to spread awareness on how the developing countries are effected by climate change, in the republic of Kongo most of the farm soil is way to dry to grow basic vegetables. Climate change sparks cruelty, and war, and as we proceed to pollute the environment, the poor people that are dependent on their soul, will have to find another way to earn money. Poor farmers have two choices, either to die of hunger, or join a terrorist group as we have seen in Afghanistan.
