Global Warming: Causes, Theories, and Solutions er en engelsk-opgave til 10. klasse, afleveret til karakteren 7. Fylder 2 sider (647 ord, ca. 3 min. læsning) og blev publiceret 26. januar 2014.

This essay examines global warming, detailing its primary causes, including CO2 emissions from vehicles and power plants. It presents an alternative theory by Bjørn Lomborg, linking global warming to sunspot activity and subsequent CO2 release from oceans. The document also discusses international efforts like the Kyoto Protocol and individual actions to mitigate the process.

I chose this topic because, I think that global warming is something that concern us all. And because I find it interesting that a phenomenon like this, can change the entire earth. I also saw a movie called “The Day after Tomorrow”, where the global warmth has melted the poles and flooded the earth.

Introduction

Global Warming is something that happens everyday. It’s said to be caused by cars, power plants and other electrical stuff that sends CO2 up in the atmosphere and creates a kind of greenhouse shield around the globe. That means that, when the sun send warmth to us, the earth keeps more than it releases. Making the earth into a greenhouse – hence the name Global Warming. Cars, Power Plants, Cellphones and people who leave electrical objects on stand-by are all producing the infamous gas known more warmth that it releases. Earth as an ecosystem is changing. More carbon dioxide is now in the atmosphere than has been in the past 650,000 years.

Pollution

Or more correctly Air Pollution, is a chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is a complex , dynamic natural gaseous system that is essential to support the life on planet earth. Stratospheric ozone depletion due to air pollution has long been recognized as a threat to human health as well as to the earth’s ecosystems. The greatest source of CO2 emission is actually made by mobile sources, mainly vehicles. Everyday there’s someone or something causing air pollution, like when you use too much hot water or leaving your garbage in the nature and things like that. The people of the earth has polluted the air since 1888, when the car was invented.
