Angrebet på Pearl Harbor

I want to tell you a little about Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor is a hangar. On 7 December 1941 at 7:55 Pearl Harbor got attacked by the Japans. The Japes caught them in bet. They were totally unprepared, every body was sleeping. 423 Japanese flights started to bomb the United States navy, Pearl Harbor Arizona and all the other ships. They were all located at Hawaii Oahu. The first attack was about destroying the airport and the battleships. Then the second attack came around right after the first, the second attack was to make shore that they destroyed all there warships and there shipyards. At 9:45 the attack ended. The japes managed to sank 6 ships and damage 8 ships. It wasn’t only that, the navy lost three lights (krydsere), three destroyers, three miner vessels and 188 flights. It wasn’t only that if it were they would have been thrilled but unfortunately 2335 soldiers and 68 civil got killed. 1178 sailors and 35 civil were injured and 1104 man was on board the American battleship Arizona, which got hit by a 1760 pound bomb. All the ships that sank were: Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and West Virginia. The japes lost only 29 flights and 5 mini-submarines. 55 pilots were killed, and 9 underwater sailors got killed. The United States navy in the pacific was so far sidelined. The japes made there biggest mistake when they blew the third attack that supposed too blow the American fuel tanks. It saved America a lot of money. One day before the attack president Roosevelt proposed to make peace to the Japanese emperor but the president never received any answer. The same day after the attack was. Holland, England and America declared war against Japan. President Roosevelt called 7. December: "A date which will live on in infamy". After the Japans attacked America’s navy they got a little scared, they thought that they had wakened a giant monster. But the only thing that happened was that the last flights that were at Hawaii attacked the Japans most important factories. They attacked them with there last bombs they had. The United States navy’s leaders were: Husband kimmel and Walter short.The Japans leaders were: Chuichi Nagumo and Mitsuo Fuchida. The Japanese force had: 6 aircraft carriers, 2, battleships3 krydsere,9 destroyers,8 tankers,23 submarines5 dwarf submarinesand 441 flightsand the United States navy’s force had: 8 battleship8 krydsere,29 destroyers,9 submarines,~50 other ships,and ~390 flightsThe united states navy build a exact copy of the battleship Arizona. Many people take to Hawaii to see the ship around 7 million people each year. They made a movie about Pearl Harbor, starring Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett. The movie is 3 hours.
