Christmas in Australia usually means a backyard barbecue or a day at the beach. As a Dane in the cold northern hemisphere, I have always wanted to spend my Christmas in a warm country! I dream of the beach located on the many cities in Australia, sitting in cafes with a nice cocktail in my head and enjoying the good weather while it is December, I am totally addicted to the thought of a warm Christmas.

It's no secret that I LOVE to travel to new places in December. In fact, I've already done it 3 times. I spent up to Christmas in 2013 exploring Poland and Germany, so in 2015 I spent December in New York City, and most recently I took a road trip through the southern United States in December last year.

In my opinion, Christmas is one of the best times of the year to travel. There are so many reasons why it's a good idea to take a walk at Christmas while it's 30 degrees

The warm weather in Australia means that I can sunbathe and enjoy myself when the sun is up, instead of having to put on a warm jacket in Denmark and freeze my hands and toes. There is nothing better than sitting by a beach and drinking an ice-cold cola when it is December. One thing I love about traveling to Australia is that you actually learn something about their culture and how they celebrate Christmas when it's hot. Right now, it's minus degrees in the northern hemisphere, the good thing I'm not there now!
