I just recently got back from an amazing experience at a TeenTogether Pokemon Card event, hosted in Los Angeles. I met a lot of new people sharing my interest. One of them being my new best friend: Steve. Our friendship started when we were competing against each other and realized we had a similar decks (having the same deck is an indicator of having the same mindset). After our long lasting match, we instantly started a conversation together and we bonded quickly.

That’s one of the things I absolutely love about Pokemon. People connect and you can easily make a characterization of somebody, when you watch their in-game playstyle. In my opinion, Pokemon is more than just a game. It’s more than just fun and excitement. It’s a way to get to know people you’ve never met in your life.

Unfortunately, it can sometimes be hard to find people who share your interests. However, TeenTogether allows you to effortlessly find individuals like yourself. It was staggering how many people there were, that shared the same hobby as me. When I went on the TeenTogether website I instantly found the Pokemon event. I was so excited. “How have I never heard of this before?” I thought to myself. The website is truly brilliant. I am in no way exaggerating, when I say that the TeenTogether event was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had.
