Should talent shows be taken down or not?
The number of talent shows has increased drastically. There are talent shows over most of the world, some bigger than others. Many people have probably heard of X Factor, Britain Got Talent, and American Got Talent. All the shows got different names but, in the end, it's all about the same thing “talent” or what people say “jokes/pranks”. I see it with my own family, and I think it's entertaining and fun but sometimes I can feel bad for the performer. Because the judges start laughing at the performer just because he tries his best.
In Denmark, we have another kind of talent show, where the judges cannot see the performer. If the judges think the performer is good, they press a button, and the chairs turn around. In this way the judges can't judge the performer by his/hers looks if he/she is fat, skinny, ugly, or from another country or other things. The United States has many different shows American Got Talent, X factor, American Idol, etc. I think it's good that we in Denmark don’t have more talent shows than all the other countries like the USA, England, etc., because we are a small country, and it is limited how many talents we have. In the USA, it is not a problem, because they are so many people. I think that talent shows become more a show with fun and pranks, than focusing on the performer's talent. The meaning of talent shows is to find the performers that has talent not just look at bad performers that are trying and then just laugh of them.
