The intention of a talent show is to find people with talent, but why do so many untalented people then show up every time? For me it’s okay, if people show up and they suck if the at least admit it, but if they afterwards keep saying, that the only reason why they didn’t pass the audition round was because, the judges didn’t see their talent, that’s where it really pisses me off.
First of all, why would you even show up to a talent show, if you don’t have any talent at all? I personally think it’s because those who show up without talent, have been told by their “friends” that they have talent. For example if one of my friends, asked me to listen to him sing and he was bad, I would rather be honest and tell him “hey dude your singing suck balls”, than saying “hey dude that was awesome”. I would have a really bad taste in my mouth, if it was my fault that one of my friends got humiliated on television, because I wasn’t honest.
If I could choose between watching a talent show, or watching the grass grow, I would without doubt, choose to watch the grass grow. I think that talent shows are really bad TV. It’s boring to watch all the untalented go on stage and act like idiots, just to get attention, I could count 100 better ways to get attention.
