The tragedy with the twin towers happened earlier and I feel like I’m still shaking, and in total shock, I just watched the president’s speech on the CNN channel and as a proud American, I totally agree with everything he said. One of the things that especially stood out to me was when he talked about how no one can touch the foundation of America, we are strong, our country is strong, and no one can change that, not even these evil people who tried to. As George w. Bush spoke “America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time” we will never forget but we won’t let it let us down. The great country of America will stand together forever.
Another important thing he came across is the thousands of lives that were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror. Personally, I think it is very important that we remember the ended lives as individual people and not just `the lives ended in the 9/11 incident`. It is so sad thinking about all the children and all the families there are now missing a loved one. I can’t even imagine the sad and empty feeling so many people are sitting with right now. I am so thankful I didn’t lose anyone in this terrible tragedy and am ready to help anyone who sadly did.
