Long Road Home

I went over to my girlfriend Lady, and told her I had to leave this town tonight, but we could be together until I had to drive to the new house with my master. Lady cried, and said that she wanted to go with me, she would leave her master for me. But I knew that it was wrong, so I said to her that she couldn’t leave her master like that, and now we just need to get the best out of the time we had together. Oh no! We fell asleep. I ran home, wondering were my family was. I ran up to Cory’s room. He wasn’t there, but there was a note: Dear Laddie I’ve moved to Springfield and I couldn’t find you at the noon, and my father is a busy man, you know him.

I cried and thought about how they could just leave me here alone. I went over to Lady and asked her if she would help me finding Cory. She said I could be with her until they came back and picked me up, if they came back.

The days passed, and I couldn’t get Cory out of my head. I knew that I couldn’t stay here forever, so one night I left. I didn’t tell it to Lady. She would cry so I just walked away quietly in the middle of the night. I begin to smell with my nose, because I knew the smell of Cory, and my nose had never failed, but this time my nose lead my on a wrong way but, I saw Cory’s car, and followed it. I ran so fast I could, but the car was to fast for me. So I smelled my way to the car and found this time a house. I looked into the window and saw Cory with a new dog, so now he doesn’t need me anymore… so I began walking home to Lady, but just in the same minute I turned around the door opened and Cory ran out to me, and said that he had missed me so much and the new dog, wasn’t as good as me, but we could have two dogs. I walked in to the new house, and saw the most beautiful dog in my life, and she became my new girlfriend.
