Montgomery, USA, December 1, 1955- rosa park refuses to give up her seat on the bus for a white passenger.

No difference

I remember it like it was yesterday, where rosa park stod up for all of the blacks. it happened in Montgomery, USA, December 1 1955. I had just woken up from a long nights sleep, stod up, went to get some clothes on, and went in to the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. on that day I had planned to go to the mall, across town to buy some gifts for my grandkids, as it was soon one of their birthdays, so after I had had some breakfast, I got ready to go down and take the bus that would take me across town. I was standing waiting for the bus, with a few other black people, that were living in the same building. then I saw the bus and went in to sit in the back, because that was where black people would sit, but one woman didn’t go to the back of the bus, she instead went to sit with all the whites at the front. when she sat down all people in the bus where just sitting there looking in silence, including me. but then the bus driver yelled are you crazy, if you don’t go down and sit with the other blacks, I will call the police, me and the others were scared that we also would get sent to prison. But she just sat there, then out of nowhere we heard polices sirens outside, then they went in and arrested rosa parks. right when the police were about to escort her out, could we all se that she knew that, what she had done was right. I went home because of what happened, and later that same day it got spread all over the news with the title. (black women refuses to sit with blacks on the bus) after she was arrested, she was sentenced to prison, but she had proved a point, that people were scared to prove. because of that, all blacks went out to protest shouting. We want freedom, we want rights. After a month of protesting, the state let her speak out to the world, and the rest is historie. Actually 10 years later, I was one of the lucky ones that got to meet her, and I knew what I was going to ask her. Why? Why did you do it? She just said. On that day I had just gotten enough. Today im so happy that she did that, so our children don’t have to experience, the same that we went though.
