I think a School Shooting is a horrible act of terror performed by evil people who take their
uncontrolable anger out on others. An example of that is the Columbine High School
massacre in Colorado, U.S.A, where Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold murdered 12 students
and one teacher. The shooting occurred on April 20th, 1999. For the time, it was the most
deadly school shooting with 24 injured, and 15 dead including the attackers. The school
shooting caused “The Columbine Effect'', where it inspired many other deadlier school
shootings in America but also many other countries.
Eric was born on the 9th of April, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. His dad was in the military, so
they relocated often. But his dad finally retired in July, 1993, where they moved to Colorado
and settled for a rented accommodation. Eric attended Ken Caryl Middle School, where he
met Dylan. Dylan was born on the 11th of September, 1981 in Lakewood, Colorado. We
don’t know that much about him before he met Eric, other than his parents were pacifists.
The motive behind the shooting is still unclear, but the best theory is that they were a bit
suicidal and wanted fame.
