The Plum Tree is a story about a woman called Sara and her neighbors. It starts with the two of them talking together. But Sara has some issues with the neighbor and her son, so in no time it escalates to a big problem. The two women disagree on whose plums it is because the tree is in the neighbor´s garden, but the plums are hanging into Sara. The son starts to kick Sara's door and start yelling that it is his plums, not Saras. The other neighbors start to wonder what is happening and why the two ladies are yelling at each other through the front door. But no matter what the neighbors do Sara just keeps her door closed so no one can come into her house and her garden.

Analytical essay:

Consider if you had waited several years for your plum tree to grow big and you could collect plums, how would you feel? Sara's neighbors Rachel wasn’t happy when she said no to plugging the plums that hung in her garden. But why, it wasn't her plums and the mess that was left behind on Sara’s patio was nothing but thoughtless greed. The story “The Plum Tree” is all about how different neighbors can be.
