Murder on 45th street is a book about Helen Santos who is a special agent i the FBI. She gets called out for a murder on 45th street in New York. The victim is a old friend of Helen named Evelyn Carter. Her body was laying over the spikes of a fence and she was beaten to death.
Helen starts to talk to a witness called David. He is the owner of a bookstore nearby. He cant remember anything else than he saw Evelyn arguing with the taxi driver and she walked away from the taxi. Helen suspects the taxi driver but he was not the murderer.
Helen gets inloved with the witness, David, and she is having a dinner at his place. While they are eating, Helen’s phone is ringing and its another agent telling that they found some remains of roses on the body. Then Helen see that David got roses in his house. Then he come and explain that he was the murderer and then he was trying to kill Helen with a heavy thing. But fortunately another agent comes to the house to talk to Helen and then he see whats going on and he is saving Helen. Then David goes to jail.
