Sweeney todd demon barber of fleet street

Benjamin Barker is a barber, he's charged and sentenced to a life of hard work in Australia, for a crime he didn't commit by the corrupt Judge Turpin. Turpin does it to get Benjamin out of the way so he can get his wife. After many years, and under the fake name "Sweeney Todd", Benjamin returns to London with the sailor Anthony, who saved him from drowning. At his old Fleet Street, barbershop above Mrs. Lovett's pie shop, he discovers that his, wife have been raped by Turpin and have poisoned herself, and his teenage daughter is now living against her will at Turpins house. Todd swore that he would get revenge and reopens his barber shop in his old room just above Mrs. Lovetts pie-shop. While walking around London, Anthony spots Johanna and falls in love with her, but is ejected from the Judge's house by Turpin and his friend, Beadle Bamford. Far from being scared of getting a "Good whipin'" as Turpin puts it, Anthony becomes determined that he will free Johanna. Meanwhile Todd and Mrs. Lovett is visiting the marketplace and reveals that a odd magic hair tonic, which is made by a man calling himself Pirelli, also being a barber, is nothing but a scam. Todd challenges him to the fastest smoothest shave, were beadle Bamford is the judge, Todd wins convincing. Pirelli and his boy assistant Toby, visit Todd's barbershop, Lovett keeps Toby downstairs with pies and gin, a lot of gin, he drinks like a sailor! Meanwhile Pirelli reveals himself to be Todd's former assistant and attempts to blackmail him into paying him half of what Todd earns or he will reveal Todd's real identity. Instead of giving Pirelli what he asks for Todd murders him to protect the secret of his true identity. Turpin is intending to propose to Johanna, but she turns him down. Beadle Bamford recommended him to visit Todd's barbershop, to get himself a sprinkling of "French cologne" as they put, so Johanna would say yes. Recognizing him, Todd relaxes Turpin while preparing to slit his throat. Before he can do it, they are interrupted by Anthony, who doesn't know that Turpin is there, who jumps in and reveals his plan to free Johanna. Turpin leaves very angry, threatening never to return. His plan failed, he decides to turn his murder rampage to his customers while waiting for another chance to kill Turpin. He believes that he is punishing the rich for their misuse of those below them and, at the same time, saving the poor from their misery. Lovett becomes his helper, suggesting they get rid of the bodies by baking them into pies to improve her business. Todd agrees, and rigs his barber's chair with a pedal-mechanism, which leads his victims through a trap door into Lovett's bakehouse. As the weeks pass, Todd's killing spree sees no end, he kills everybody, except a man who brings his wife and daughter. Meanwhile, Anthony begins to search for Johanna, who was sent by Turpin to Fogg's mad house as punishment for her refusing to marry him. The barbering and pie-making business goes very well, well financially at least, and Lovett takes in young Toby. Anthony finally discovers where Johanna is, and following Todd's plan, starts as a wig-maker's apprentice, allowing him access to the mad house, to get the hair from the insane. He now puts a rescue plan into action. As Anthony is given a short tour of the house, he frees Johanna. Anthony chooses to lock the guide in with the inmates, who fall upon him and kills him. Todd's motive for assisting, is to trick Turpin back to the barber shop, and he sends Toby to the courthouse to let the judge know where he will find Johanna. Toby has become skeptical about Todd, and when he returns, he tells Lovett that he doesn't trust him, with out knowing that she is helping him. He promises to protect Mrs. Lovett, who he has come to love as a mother. Beadle Bamford arrives at the barber shop and is murdered by Todd, and Lovett tells Todd of Toby's suspicions. The pair search for Toby, who Lovett has locked in the basement bakehouse to keep him out of the way. He is nowhere to be found, having hidden in the sewers after seeing Bamfords body drop into the room
